Spiritual Life Inventory (SLI) The SLI describes how you see yourself on the spiritual journey, using seven phases: Recognition of God, the Life of Discipleship, the Productive Life, The Journey Inward, The Wall, The Journey Outward, The Life of Love. The Spiritual Life Inventory complements the ideas and behaviors described in Janet Hagberg and Robert Guelich's book Critical Journey. We move along phases and repeat them in an ever widening spiral as we experience the breadth and depth of our spiritual lives. These stages of our spiritual life address one or all of the following issues: You answer 91 questions on a scale of 1-5 (1=Not descriptive of me to 5=Very descriptive of me) and plot your scores on an answer grid. Sample Questions My awe of God makes me feel so insignificant 4 Cost: This inventory is an easy and intriguing way to find out more about our faith and how it differs from others. Why doesn't everyone raise their hands in praise, why do we pray differently, why do some people like to build houses and go on mission trips and others don’t? This inventory explores four different approaches to faith, to worship, to prayer and to social action: Nurturers, Connectors, Thinkers and Developers. Easy to take, score, and interpret. An entry-level tool for those who want to understand their own faith style. |
